Patient Care Technician (PCT) Devcare Solutions Chattanooga, TN 37405 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients and assist medical staff in delivering high-quality care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of physiology and anatomy, as well as familiarity with medical terminology. This position is vital in ensuring patient comfort and safety during their treatment. Responsibilities Assist patients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Monitor vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff. Prepare patients for procedures and assist during examinations. Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to aseptic techniques. Document patient information accurately in electronic health records. Support the dialysis process by preparing equipment and ensuring proper protocols are followed. Educate patients on care plans and answer any questions they may have regarding their treatment. Experience Knowledge of physiology and anatomy is essential for understanding patient needs. Familiarity with medical terminology to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals. Experience in performing dialysis or willingness to learn is preferred. Demonstrated ability to apply aseptic techniques in a clinical setting. Previous experience in a healthcare or patient care role is advantageous but not mandatory.

$26.00 – $33.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

12 hour shift Monday to Friday Night shift Weekends as needed
