C N A Class Wood Village Senior Living Community (A Twin Rivers Facility) 520 Old Highway 68, Sweetwater, TN 37874 Overview The C N A Class is designed for individuals aspiring to become Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) in various healthcare settings. This program provides comprehensive training that equips participants with the essential skills and knowledge required to deliver high-quality patient care. The curriculum focuses on both theoretical and practical aspects of nursing assistance, preparing students for roles in long-term care facilities, memory care units, hospitals, and home care environments. We do offer pay as you learn after completion of two weeks of class based on academic and attendance in class. Hospitality aide is offered as you go to school for employment to follow and learn alongside a certified aide. We do request you work for our facility a minimum of 12 months upon certification. Once certified these are 12 hours shifts with every other full weekend off (Friday Thru Sunday). Duties Participants in the C N A Class will engage in a variety of responsibilities, including: Assisting patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Monitoring and documenting patient vital signs and reporting any changes to nursing staff. Supporting patients with mobility and ensuring their safety during transfers. Administering medications as directed by healthcare professionals. Maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to aseptic techniques. Collaborating with healthcare teams in Level I Trauma Centers or ICU settings to provide comprehensive patient care. Utilizing electronic health record systems such as Epic for accurate documentation of patient information. Skills Successful candidates for the C N A Class should possess a combination of essential skills, including: Knowledge of long-term care practices and memory care techniques. Understanding of basic anatomy and medical terminology relevant to patient care. Proficiency in aseptic techniques to prevent infection and promote patient safety. Experience or familiarity with home care practices and medication administration protocols. Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers.
