Job Summary:

The Patient Safety Assistant (PSA) is an essential part of the healthcare team, providing compassionate and hands-on care to patients while supporting the clinical staff. Under the supervision of nurses and other healthcare providers, the PSA ensures patients’ comfort, safety, and well-being during their hospital stay. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care, a level of comfort interacting with a wide variety of people, as well as some solid technical proficiency. Preferred Education:

High School diploma or equivalent Preferred Experience(s): Previous experience in a healthcare or patient care setting License(s): None
Certification(s): Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire; Workplace Violence Prevention Training required within 60 days of hire.

Internal Hires:

Pay rate will be determined based on applicable personnel rule or union contract terms.

External Hires:

This position starts at $19.87 per hour. Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based upon relevant experience.
