Patient Care Tech 2 – M/S B2 FT 7A Position Available In Sumner, Tennessee

Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care activities, as well as POC Testing, EKGs,Phlebotomy, as needed .Performs IV starts and urinary foley catheter insertions, according to competencyguidelines.

Reports to: Director Medical/Surgical B2 Minimum EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent – RequiredState Certified Nurse Aide, can be considered without High school diploma or equivalentPatient Care Technician education – PreferredRequired SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must beable to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Computer proficiency required

Certifications:

Basic Life Support (BLS) (American Heart Association (AHA) OR American Red Cross Certification) must beobtained within 30 days of employment if not current upon hire.

Licenses:

State of Tennessee Certified Nurse Aide licensure or EMT licensure – PreferredMinimum Work ExperienceOne (1) year certified nurse tech or EMT experience
