Medical Executive Administrator-CEO 5.0 5.0 out of 5 stars Muscle Shoals, AL 35661 Warren Averett Healthcare is recruiting a CEO/Executive Administrator for a progressive medical group in northwest Alabama. The CEO/Executive Administrator is responsible to the Board for the overall operation of the organization, including financial management and reporting, managed care and insurance negotiation and payer relations, practice development, and marketing.
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate effectively with physicians, hospital personnel, payers,employer groups and other stakeholders at multiple levels
- Strong organizational leadership and ability to coordinate the interests of physicians toward the larger objective
- Experience in a managed care market and the effective organization and management of a physicians’ grouppractice
- Knowledge of the business structure and accounting practices of private and group medical practices
- Experience managing and maximizing the profitability of a medical group practice
- Comfortable performing quantitative and analytical duties including using excel
- Ability to coordinate and conduct physician meetings
- Ability to handle many projects at one time
- Ability to perform well in stressful situations
KEY SKILLS
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of health planning and management sufficient to manage, direct and coordinate the operation of a major health care organization.
- Knowledge of the purposes, organization and policies of the community’s health systems sufficient to interact with other health care providers.
- Knowledge of the policies and procedures of a group practice sufficient to direct its operations and to provide effective patient care.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of employee development sufficient to ensure organizational productivity.
- Knowledge of computer systems and applications.
- Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision-making to achieve organizational objectives.
- Skill in analyzing situations accurately and taking effective action. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees, policy-making bodies, third party payers, patients and the public.
- Skill in organizing work, making assignments and achieving goals and objectives. Skill in exercising judgment and discretion in developing, applying, interpreting and coordinating departmental policies and procedures.
- Ability to assume responsibility and exercise authority over assigned work functions.
Ability to establish and maintain quality control standards. Ability to organize and integrate organizational priorities and deadlines. Ability to prepare comprehensive reports.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum seven years of management experience in a physician group or health care system. Master’s in Health Administration preferred.
- Computer literate; knowledge of practice management software, spreadsheets, and financial application software.
- Knowledge of, and experience with, all types of medical payment schemes
- Proven experience managing and maximizing the profitability of a physician group
- Demonstrated ability to lead physicians
- Knowledge of QA/UR, outcomes, and patient management systems
- Experience reporting to, and working with, a Board of Directors
- Normal office environment; occasional evening or weekend work
- Position requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching

$125,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
