Position Summary Under the oversight of the Director of Enrollment Services/Registrar, the employee is the lead Student Affairs staff member at the Dale Medical Center. The employee supports multiple functional areas such as admissions, academic advising/registration, assessment and testing, career services, and financial aid processes. Facilitates retention of students and assists graduating students through current and prospective student follow-up and issue resolution.

ANTICIPATED START DATE
JUNE 1, 2025 The position will be based initially at the Wallace Campus in Dothan with a worksite location of Dale Medical Center. More than one position in the same job classification may be filled from the applicants for this position should another vacancy occur during the search process. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION
Student Success. Employee promotes an environment of student academic and career success. Serves prospective and current students at the Wiregrass Center for Rural Healthcare at Dale Medical Center (Center). Organizes new student, and initial enrollment processes, orientation, and registration.
Provides advice regarding policies, procedures, and processes pertaining to multiple functional areas, targeted academic programs, or student populations.
Provides services to students and the general public by resolving student services complaints and concerns and responding to a variety of general inquiries and requests.
Coordinates with the Dean of Student Success in the management of student complaints and adherence to student disciplinary policy and procedure.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION
Admissions/Enrollment. Employee performs duties related to admissions/enrollment processes of the College. Provides information on available academic programming at the Center.
Assists students in the process of applying for admission.
Processes applications for admission as needed.
Informs prospective students on the status of their application, and the next steps needed to include guiding them to resources needed to complete the process
Informs current and prospective students on steps needed to maintain their enrollment status to include referral to enrollment officers on campus.
Guides students to Testing Services to coordinate the completion of testing requirements, or provides testing services .
Other duties as assigned by Admissions/Records.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION
Financial Aid. Employee performs duties related to guiding students in obtaining support from all Student Financial Aid programs. Provides information on available financial aid programs at the Center.
Assists students in the process of applying for financial aid and scholarships.
Guides students to resources for veteran benefits funding.
Informs students on the status of their application for financial aid and/or refers to Financial Aid Office staff as needed.
Provides functional support to the Office of Financial Aid.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION
Advisement. Employee performs duties related to guiding students in obtaining support from Academic Advisement. Assists students seeking the Academic Advisement services available at the Center or making the appropriate referral to Campus Advisement resources as appropriate.
Provides academic advisement and course registration services to students as needed.
Refers students with documented disabilities to the Office of Disability Support Services for support.
Provides health services and safety information to students.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION
Recruitment. Employee serves as the point of contact for recruitment to the academic programs available at the Dale Medical Center. In coordination with the Office of Student Recruitment, conducts outreach in the local service area to generate interest in the academic programs.
In coordination with the Office of Student Recruitment, hosts individuals or groups visiting the site.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION
College Expectations. Dependability, attendance, punctuality, and a commitment to do the job right are essential at all times. Reports to work on time, at appropriate workstation or department during all departmental/position scheduled work days and during all departmental/position scheduled work hours. Understands that failure to report for work and/or reporting late without prior approval are unacceptable practices and will result in disciplinary action.
Performs a productive full day’s work.
Ensures that service to students and the general public is top priority.
Demonstrates a considerate, friendly, respectful and constructive attitude toward fellow employees and students.
Adheres to all College and System policies and procedures.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required.
Two years of full-time experience working with students in a secondary or postsecondary educational setting is required. Ability to work non-standard hours, including frequent after-hours activities during the week is required. Possess a current and valid driver’s license with the ability frequently drive to events and activities at Dale Medical Center and to be insured through the College’s insurance provider is required.
ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The President will appoint an Advisory and Interview Committee to include representatives of the College faculty and staff. This committee will employ appropriate procedures, including the review of application packets, interview, and demonstration of competency, to determine which applicants are to be recommended to the President for further consideration. From all the applications received, an advisory committee will select the applicants to be interviewed. Applicants must travel at their own expense for interviews that are conducted in person.
