Southeast. Always the right career direction. Job Description Summary The Clinic Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of medical clinics. This position provides administrative and clinical support, and oversees the hiring and training of staff members, liaise with patients and healthcare professionals, and help coordinate patient care. They also work with the Director to ensure that the clinic are adhering to standardized policies and meeting compliance and quality expectations. Job Description Essential Functions Monitor, develop, coach and mentor staff to achieve quality patient care outcomes Cover competencies for clinical staff Assist in establishing and implementing departmental goals, objectives, processes and policies that pertain to clinical and front office areas Responsible for establishing standard daily work for all staff Responsible for covering clinical and clerical positions as allowed by scope and supporting patient throughput when personnel are out for any reason. Effectively communicate with physicians, staff and patients in a professional and respectful manner Prepare staffing models and work schedules for staff Assist with ensuring staff accuracy with quality and compliant clinical documentation Perform annual performance reviews and maintain progressive discipline for all staff Review and approve time for all staff each pay period Interview and select staff for open positions Based on clinic location, coordinate and oversee all front office and/or clinic operations Maintain a positive working relationship with all staff Assist in ensuring that medical charts are prepared for potential audit Assist Director in managing departmental budgets Performs other duties as requested by primary manager that do not compromise moral code of conduct or protocols set in place for patient or employee safety. Supervised Positions Based on clinic location, may include Clinical, Ancillary and Clerical Staff Qualifications Minimum Experience Required One (1) year of supervisory experience in practice management Or, demonstrated ability of complex problem solving, critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and strong decision making that reflect both knowledge of facts and sound clinical judgment according to established standards of nursing practice. Minimum Experience Preferred Two to three (2-3) years practice management experience Minimum Education Required Current Registered Nurse (RN) in state of Alabama Minimum Education Preferred Bachelor’s degree or; Completion of an undergraduate degree; Working knowledge of revenue cycle to include medical terminology, ICD-10, CPT and coding Required Skills/Abilities Maintain RN licensure in the state of Alabama Ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances in fast-paced environment. Demonstrates appropriate utilization of the skills of the Registered Nurse as approved by the Alabama Board of Nursing Actively accepts, understands, and practices appropriate standards of nursing practice. Time management skills. Successful completion of all competencies and the monitoring of staff competencies Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrates ability to communicate and organize concepts, ideas, verbally and in writing, with precise word usage, clear meaning, good presentation, vocabulary, grammar and correct spelling. Encourages and promotes positive behaviors in coworkers. Demonstrates ability to work with patients, families, visitors, and co-workers regardless of race, gender, disease process, life-style, religious or cultural beliefs Respect and caring demonstrated in words, action, and body language to all patients and clinic staff. Recognizes and employs team efforts to achieve departmental/organizational goals. Makes decisions that reflect both knowledge of facts and sound clinical judgment according to established standards of nursing practice. Ability to step in to assist physician with procedures in the care of patients, if needed. Assists with compliance of all SEH requirements such as vaccinations, CBL’s, Surveys.
