What you will do:
  • Work with Physician & management team to promote compliance with governmental & regulatory policies.
  • Follow policy and procedure for clinic operations to promote continuity of patient care and operations for all locations.
  • Meet with Physician and Office Manager on a regular basis to address concerns, collect input, and maintain open and informative communication.
  • Promote good relationships with referral sources, patients, and outside or third-party vendors.
  • Provide controls and systems to ensure that medical supplies are maintained and stocked at appropriate and cost-effective measures.
  • Oversee and manage the cleanliness and appearance of the clinic and patient rooms.
  • Participate in billing processes to support timely and accurate billing and coding.
  • Serve as a member of the clinic team assisting physicians and delivering excellent patient care.
  • Schedule and coordinate outpatient care with facilities.
  • Obtain pre-certifications as needed.
  • Assist physician and ensure maximum efficiency; set up for procedures and examinations; obtain lab testing and other reports for physician review.
  • Triage patients to ensure productive departmental flow; revise daily schedules; obtain charts and charge tickets.
  • Record health history of patients; noting abnormal conditions for physician’ prepare patients for exams and procedures.
  • Ensure that patient chart entries are made accurately and in a timely manner; forward charts as needed.
  • Contact pharmacies to order new or refill prescriptions; notify patients; document appropriately.
  • Notify hospital or other facility’s personnel of physician’s orders.
  • Schedule patient visits to other physicians as needed.
  • Notify patients of test results; schedule follow-up appointments as needed.
  • Set up and stock exam rooms daily for use; clean equipment and rooms between procedures and patients; order and maintain inventory of supplies and medications.
  • Follow clinic policies for infection control in handling and disposing of infectious/hazardous waste materials.
  • Assist physician with procedures.
  • Protect patients, yourself and staff from radiation exposure by practicing sound procedures which meet or exceed recommended industry standards.
  • Work closely with the Physician to receive guidance and instruction for treating patients.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
Position Requirements Qualifications:
  • Experience in clinic-based setting (preferred)
  • 1 year of Clinic Coordinator/Medical Assistant or relevant experience
  • Dedication to patient satisfaction
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work compatibly with physicians and other staff members
