GENERAL SUMMARY

Supervisor is responsible for daily activities in the Enrollment Department. Collects data on patient inquiries and service requests and conducts analysis to identify trends and recommend solutions. Ensures department staff follow established policies for addressing patient inquiries and meet service quality goals. Manages the training, scheduling, and performance management of staff. Additionally, ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Ensure client satisfaction through professional interactions on the phone, via email or mail and in person, building a relationship with the counterpart at the payer/plan, along with other directors and leaders in the payer/plan organization. 2. Stay abreast of changes in the insurance or payer market. 3. Organize meetings with payers, organize educational sessions, and engage physician leaders as needed. 4. Address operational issues and facilitate solutions between the parties. 5. Identify and assess enrollment data. 6. Manages daily workflow. 7. Supervise, mentor, coach, train and evaluate Enrollment staff. 8. Address/resolve patient complaints in real time. 9. Manage the day-to-day operations of the Enrollment Team. 10. Analyze key components of contracts related directly to vendor services supporting the department 11. Work collaboratively with the Revenue Cycle and Scheduling departments. 12. Daily Eligibility Clearance/Reconciliation utilizing eligibility manager to ensure all insurance is verified active for future clinic appointments. 13. Maintain and updates written departmental policies and procedures. 14. Identifies EHR system glitches/issues which are reported and tracked for system patches and updates. 15. Responsible for weekly Productivity Metrics and sets achievement goals for the department and staff members. 16. Ensure QA initiatives are defined and met to ensure customer service is adhered to and followed. 17. Oversee the process of Insurance Discovery and eligibility to ensure the appropriate evaluation of a patient’s ability or inability to pay for healthcare services. 18. Manage the department’s resource criteria to ensure the use of decision-making data is valid and current. 19. Oversee the development and implementation of department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). 20. In an effort to improve quality of care and enhance efficiency, the role will: Analyze existing business processes and develop strategies for improvement. Implement, monitor and upgrade the improved processes. Document all process changes and updates. Monitor the impact of process changes and make adjustments as necessary. Prepare and present reports on the progress and impact of process improvement initiatives. 21. Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Position Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1.

Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree or five years of administrative insurance enrollment experience. 2. Requires good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently.

Preferred qualifications:

1. At least two years of data entry experience, analyzing data and a working knowledge of medical terminology. Proficiency in database management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
