Summary We are seeking an Intake Specialist to join our Specialty team at ContinuumRx. In this role, you will play a vital part in the patient intake process, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of care. Your contributions will directly impact patient satisfaction and the overall efficiency of our services. Responsibilities Manage the referral process from start to finish and ensuring care transition is seamless and complete. Monitor and communicate the referral process and status to patients, sales, referral sources and internal teams. Ensure that the required documents to properly process a referral are obtained on the front end, including orders, insurance information and clinical documentation. Ensure patient demographics are loaded into the company EMR and the data is accurate and complete. Coordinate patient care with multi-disciplinary teams, including pharmacy and nursing, to ensure comprehensive and efficient care delivery. Communicate with patient benefit information including out of pocket charges and patient assistance options. Stay informed about reimbursement policies and insurance requirements, ensuring compliance with billing and coding standards. Knowledge and understanding of specialty drug therapies and varied infusion site options, including home and ambulatory infusion suites. Understanding of insurance verification and prior authorization processes requirements. Ability to assist verifications and prior authorization teams during heavy workloads and absences. Process, monitor and ensure all required patient related admission paperwork is completed and maintained in the patient including consent, benefit summaries, patient assistance forms, etc. Monitor and process documents from the company Fax que, escribe or other electronic referral systems. Demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and courtesy in all interactions with patients, peers and referral sources. Participate in department meetings and training sessions, contributing to the on-going improvement of processes and procedures. Performs any other assigned duties to support the operations of the specialty team. Requirements Passion for patient care and delivering exceptional customer service. 5 years healthcare experience in specialty medication and infusion service; preferred but not required. Strong knowledge of insurance verification and prior authorization process. 3 years’ experience in ambulatory suite and alternate site infusion services; preferred but not required. Strong computer skills including Microsoft applications, EMR applications and Weinfuse. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with patients and providers. – verbal and written Exceptional organizational and process skills Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize and meet deadlines.
