Full Job Description Job Description:

The Adult Outpatient Coordinator plans and develops our metal health and substance abuse services for all clients from the age of 18 and older. They do this using effective management skills and working with higher management to ensure our clients’ receive the proper treatment. This position is a vital part of WellStone’s adult services. What you’ll be doing: Provide strategic planning and development for mental health services for persons age 18 and over for the following programs: Adult Outpatient, Access to Care, Residential, Recovery Services, Adult Medical, Records, Jail Diversion & Performance Improvement. Act as a liaison for external stakeholders to ensure open communication and effective problem solving. Represent the organization at local, statewide, and national events for the purpose of enhancing quality of care and our public relations. Ensure compliance with external administrative and clinical standards of care and applicable laws, including DMH, Medicaid, and State & Federal laws. Provide oversight and management of daily operations for programs/services under scope of responsibility. Provide supervision to designated program managers and staff to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. Participate in internal leadership activities, including team meetings and supervision, to promote effective collaboration & cohesion. Ensure compliance with internal administrative and clinical standards, productivity, including business & financial operations, human resources, & organizational protocols. Provide direct clinical supervision, consultation, and services as needed. Complete other duties as assigned. What we’re looking for: Masters Degree & license eligible in social services related field. 3 years’ post-Masters experience in behavioral healthcare. 2 years’ experience in management & supervision. Demonstrated compliance with external standards, including the Alabama Department of Mental Health, Medicaid, State & Federal laws. Demonstrated compliance with internal program and organizational policies, procedures, & operational protocols. Excellent verbal and written communication skills & computer literate. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain trust with others through exhibiting personal character and professional competence.
