Location:

725 American Avenue, Waukesha, WI, 53188 Weoffer 6-8 weeks of paid training. The hours of the training will bebased on 1st shift hours.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Greetsvisitors and patients in person
  • Communicates by telephone orvideo conferencing, upholding excellent customer service
  • Handlesconfidential information appropriately by protecting and disclosinginformation to only those authorized
  • Prioritizes by assessing andanalyzing information to identify immediate emergency needs
  • Demonstrates technical knowledge and competence in the departmentalprocedures
  • Enters and updates patient demographic and financialinformation, ensuring the patient is fully registered as early inthe process as possible
  • Obtains appropriate applications andforms, confirming signatures are on file. Photocopies/scansdocuments as needed
  • Provides patients with financialresponsibility information and collects patient liabilities,documents amounts in the appropriate fields, and balances the cashbox daily
  • Works with partnering departments (FinancialCounseling, Scheduling, Financial Clearance, and clinical areas) toensure all aspects of the patient’s encounter are completed asneeded
  • Provides wayfinding instructions and assists with hospitalinformation as requested
  • Coordinates patient admission needs, bedassignments, and tracking boards where applicable
  • Meets orexceeds audit accuracy standards. Works worklists and error reportstimely, and proactively seeks assistance to resolve as needed

RequiredQualifications:
  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • 1 yearsof customer service experience in an office setting or professionalwork environment
  • 1 years of experience with Microsoft Officeproducts
  • Ability to work rotating holidays
  • Ability to complete6-8 weeks of training during 1^st shift hours
  • Ability to work ona per diem basis as business requires (1^st, 2^nd or 3^rd shift)
  • Must be 18 years or age or older
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience with electronicmedical records system
  • Experience in a medical office or hospitaladmitting/registration office
Soft Skills:
  • Excellent customerservice skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast paced environments
