Position Summary
The Medical Services Coordinator will manage and teach non-credit program offerings such as continuing education, certification programs, workshops, seminars, hands-on training, special interest courses, etc. as assigned and coordinated through the Workforce Division. This position will work closely with Health Sciences. The Coordinator will be assigned to teach at varied times and locations based on student demand; day, evening, or weekend in Alexander City, Childersburg, Talladega, and Prattville.

THIS IS A GRANT FUNDED POSITION. CONTINUED EMPLOYMENT IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING FROM THE GRANT.

In accordance with the provisions of the Students First Act, ACT 2011-270, non-probationary status is not attainable by virtue of employment in this position, the funding and duration of which are finite.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Complies with all policies of the Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees, the Alabama Community College System, Central Alabama Community College, accrediting agencies and federal regulatory bodies.
2. Instructs individuals in a classroom or educational setting.
3. Plans lessons and curriculum based on learning needs; evaluates participant performance.
4. Conducts needs assessment analysis for participants (if applicable).
5. Uses instructional methods geared toward the target audience.
6. Implements a variety of instructional delivery methods, that include group or individualized instruction.
7. Develops various course materials.
8. Completes and maintains registration, attendance, and assessment records.
9. Maintains required participant progress documentation.
10. Creates a classroom environment that is conductive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of the learners.
11. Reviews clinical site evaluations and makes rmendations based on data (if applicable).
12. Assists with coordination of apprentices for Health Science as needed.
13. Keeps informed of current health care requirements related to teaching content.
14. Serves on and participates on Collegemittees and as requested.
15. Represents the College in a positive manner both on and off campus.
16. Completes other duties as assigned.
17. Meets essential job functions including physical and intellectual abilities in terms of sensory and perception,munication and interpersonal relationships, cognitive and critical thinking, motor function, and professional behaviors.
18. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
1. Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Health related discipline from a regionally accredited institution is required; Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
2. Two (2) or more years of experience in medical/healthcare related field is required.
3. Excellentmunication skills are essential for this role is required.
4. Documented ability and understanding of the effectiveness and advantages of using technology is required.
5. Maintain certifications including but not limited to First Aid, Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and other health care/medical related certifications, etc. as determined by the College.
6. Self-directed with stronganization skills is required.
7. Strong interpersonal skills and work ethic is required.
8. Evidence of experience providing supervision of students is preferred.
9. Experience in an administrative or managerial setting is preferred.
10. Experience maintaining health records or documentation is preferred.
