Job Summary:

Responsible for all oversight of field personnel including in-office collectors, in-office phlebotomists, and courier personnel. Responsible for providing leadership and direction for blood, toxicology and PCR specimen collection and transportation. Travels to customer locations as needed to support field supervisors and staff to monitor day-to-day operations, employee performance, and to resolve issues. Possesses good judgment and has the ability to respond to supervisor and client needs as well as bring appropriate concerns, whether client or staff related to the attention of their manager or designated contact. The Field Staff Manager will provide direction to the Phlebotomy / Collector Supervisor(s) and will be responsible for and will receive work duties from the acting manager.

Essential Functions:

Provides leadership and direction to phlebotomy supervisor(s) and oversight of multiple clinical locations. Travels to clinical locations (25% to 50% of time) to monitor day-to-day operations, employee performance, and resolve issues. Assigns work schedules and ensures supervisors are managing staff and that clinical locations are adequately staffed at all times. Ensures adequate documentation and resolution of any service failures and/or irregularities using ARMO’s QA system. Works with Core Lab and sales staff to make decisions related to specimens and testing for assigned collection sites. Responds to all phone calls promptly. Communicates issues and resolution with the General Manager. Responsible for implementation of ARMO Diagnostics policies and procedures. Interviews, hires, and supervises training and onboarding for all new personnel. Works to develop staff to full potential. Oversees all required documentation regarding staff. Ensures that supervisors are maintaining accurate records of training, discipline, continuing education, etc. Tracks and ensures personnel completion of required annual Continuing Education credits as well as annual training / review requirements (Media Lab). Identifies when assistance is needed from the assigned Manager and contacts the General Manager appropriately regarding personnel issues, technical problems, supply problems, or unusual patient conditions. Supervises, evaluates, counsels and documents the work performance of personnel. Evaluates and maintains competency for phlebotomy / UDS collector staff. Monitors and approves employee work hours via ADP. Performs job as a team member only when required to maintain clinical location staffing. Complies with the policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook. Follow departmental policies and procedures as required.

Additional Responsibilities:

Maintains good public relations through productive and professional interaction with patients, clients and other departments within ARMO Diagnostics. Establishes and maintains a system of quality control in all areas. Must keep daily and monthly records of all control results. Maintain and assure the department meets all state, federal, and CAP requirements.

Experience:

Requires a minimum of five years of clinical experience and demonstration of leadership abilities. Supervisory experience is preferred.

Education/Training:

High School Diploma or equivalent Licensure, Registration and/or

Certification:

Phlebotomy certification is preferred. Valid driver’s license for the state in which the vehicle is operated. Current liability insurance (at least state minimum requirements).

Job Type:
Full-time Pay:

$60,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
