Position Summary
The role of the Office Coordinator reports to the Clinic Manager. This position is responsible for supervision of the front office workflow and staff.
Essential Position Responsibilities
Engage with customers, patients, guests, and coworkers in a positive and professional manner.
Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, clinic staff, and providers.
Perform office and administrative duties in an effective and efficient manner, including answering calls, process medical record request, scheduling appointments, registering patients, collecting co-payments and deductibles, and verifying insurance eligibility.
Scan documents into the electronic medical record system.
Build and maintain physician schedules.
Resolve hold bills and assist with patient billing questions.
Actively participate in the hiring and training process of front office staff.
Responsible for front office day-to-day operations.
Ensure policies and procedures are followed.
Super-user and subject matter expect for front desk computer programs.
Provide information to interdisciplinary providers, as appropriate.
Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma or GED

Licensure and Certifications:

N/A

Experience:

Two years of previous medical office experience, preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology as well as various medical insurance carriers, required.

Work Environment:

This position will spend 80% of the time sitting while performing work in a standard office setting and 20% of work time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs.
