Position Overview:

The Medical Assistant / Back Office Coordinator (MA/OC) is a working Medical Assistant who supervises staff in the Allergy Division while providing clinical and administrative support to physicians and advanced care providers. The ideal candidate will be a role model for clinical staff , promoting teamwork, integrity, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise, train, and coordinate Medical Assistant staff Ensure compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA regulations Oversee patient services and maintain high standards of care and satisfaction Assist with patient care, including vital signs, EKGs, wound care, and medication administration Monitor and review patient charts for accuracy and completeness Triage and respond to patient communications, refill medications per provider approval Manage scheduling, workflow, and timecard approvals for MA staff Oversee supply ordering, vaccine management, and safety protocols Support the onboarding of new providers and MA students Make sure 02 and refrigerator logs are maintained Mixing serum

Qualifications:

✅ High School Diploma or equivalent

  • REQUIRED

    ✅ Medical Assistant, LPN, or similar certification

  • REQUIRED

    ✅ Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a medical or hospital setting

  • REQUIRED

    ✅ Minimum 2-3 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting

  • REQUIRED

    ✅ Electronic Health Records (EHR) experience

  • REQUIRED

    ✅ Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • REQUIRED

    ✅ Professional appearance, strong communication skills, and leadership abilities ✅ AA/AS degree or specialization in Medical Office Management
