Job Summary:

Responsible for overseeing and developing the Clinical department including hiring, supervision, evaluation, and scheduling. Develop, plan, and implement strategies for program continuation and growth. Provide clinical training to clinical staff and interns. Must have a positive and supportive attitude toward the company and its overall success. Provide both clinical and personnel supervision of the clinical staff. Must have the ability to think globally, solve problems and have good decision-making skills, including critical thinking skills. Assist with clinical aspects of clients prior to discharge, and “step-down”. Accountable for clinical paperwork and monitoring of Clients Programs Schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise and oversee all aspects of the clinical department following the agency mission demonstrated by setting departmental goals and objectives. Evaluate existing contract compliance, monitoring and reporting to ensure all goals are being met Hiring, supervision, evaluation, scheduling, promotion, and corrective actions/performance evaluation/improvement of paid and volunteer personnel (interns) within the department Regularly review and recommend changes in program services to meet client needs with particular emphasis on services for underserved populations, oversight of program evaluation and quality assurance functions for department including assessment of applicable legal and professional requirements and monitoring treatment plans for clients Ensure contract compliance for department and volunteer personnel within the department. Initiate, implement and monitor compliance with evidence-based practices Work with other members of the management team to assure successful communication and coordination between all departments, and participate in strategic planning Regularly provide clinical training to clinical services staff and interns Recruitment of clinical interns, conduct outreach and maintain working relationships with graduate schools Lead daily staff briefing meetings Provide clinical training to clinical services staff: Intervention Program, Train the Trainer, ASAM’s Able to redirect clients into appropriate program of care when they are not ready to leave Contact family members as needed, to discuss needed support for the client Coordinate and facilitates Groups Monitors the Client Orientation (Onboarding) Accountable for reviewing clinical paperwork: Progress Notes, Treatment Plans, Biopsychosocial Assessment, and Outcomes tools Implement and follow through on Departmental Standard Operating Procedures Oversees discharge protocols Develop or revise group schedule, programming, and staff assignment Communicates with other departments/department heads Assist with overflows/wait lists of all pre-admissions Oversee clients who are on safety/suicide precautions Responsible for reviewing the Concurrent Review CCR – with each therapist once UR reports concerns (when applicable) Must be reliable and consistent with attendance and punctuality to work Represent the Organization in a professional manner Understand and follow all policies and procedures of the Organization. Must have an attitude of friendliness and be able to communicate with all levels within the facility

Professional Readiness Clinical Assessment, Evaluation, and Treatment Planning Suicide Risk & Prevention Personal Protective Equipment:

Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Required License(s)/Certification(s): Relevant license and/or certification or license/certification eligible as a Mental Health provider as required in the State of Florida (i.e., Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor-LPC, Licensed Clinical Social Worker-LCSW, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist-LMFT)

Education/Experience/Qualification:

Graduated from an accredited college or university with a minimum of a Masters Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, or health-related field. A minimum of 2 years administrative and management setting familiarity, with Performance Improvement and CARF Standards necessary. Communication skills to relate to all levels of management staff. Ability to work under stressful conditions and be flexible in relation to department needs Self-motivated and confident Application of Continuous Quality Improvement/ Performance Improvement philosophy and ability to develop organizational strategy. Knowledge of Psychopathology, Diagnostic Assessment and Chemical Dependency treatment Extensive experience and knowledge of the job, the ability to make decisions with significant impact and to identify and solve problems, and the possible supervision or management of staff.

Must demonstrate:

o Knowledge of Joint Commission standards within the Department o Knowledge of HIPAA laws, Drug Free Workplace Policies, Workplace Violence o Knowledge of Corporate Integrity and Compliance Programs. Strong computer literacy and in current technology. Knowledge of 12 Step Programs o Influencing, Providing Direction, Coaching and Developing others,
