This is a key role in providing support and hospitality services to the residents and family members of John Knox Village’s Assisted Living.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage census to maximize utilization of Assisted Living instead of higher cost skilled care. Manage expenses as evidenced with performing at or below budgeted expenses, including wages. Process payroll to be completed by 12pm Monday’s after end of pay period. Manage overtime costs not to exceed budget Demonstrate quality leadership by exhibiting moral and ethical behavior. Coach, mentor, educate and collaborate with staff members, utilizing efficient care principles and training for direct care staff. Ensure employee licenses, certifications and PPD documentation are current and compliant with AHCA, and copies are maintained in the employees’ HR files. Ensure the care of the elders is exceptional through collaboration with the nurse(s). Assist employees and residents in establishing a home-like environment; introducing principles best utilized in a Green House type setting. Foster creativity among staff by conducting ongoing educational in-services that help to maintain and enhance resident stability, independence and satisfaction. Conduct routine audits of care and medication documentation; ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Manage work schedules for direct care staff and Administrative Assistant; ensuring minimal overtime and employee breaks Participate in monthly health care meetings consisting of the committee and senate members Guarantee policies and procedures are being implemented to comply with governing agencies (AHCA, DOH, OSHA, Life Safety) Collaborate with Wellness nurses and Resident Relations to determine potential IL residents needing higher levels of care Facilitate successful transitions of residents moving to the AL; monitoring the renovation process of apartments, ensuring the process is completed at a minimum of 30 days. Employees receive their 90 day and annual performance evaluations by their due date. Separation Forms are received in the Human Resources Department within 24 hours of employee’s separation of employment date. Utilize company technological resources to the fullest capacity (Point Click Care, SmartSheet). Perform other duties as deemed necessary and appropriate, or as may be directed.

POSITION SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Technical skills and Knowledge 2+ years of leadership experience in HealthCare environment. Bachelor’s Degree preferred Certified as required by Assisted Living state regulations Strong analytical skills Strong project management and computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, SmartSheet
