Duties Coordinate patient referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers. Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients prior to referrals. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding. Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies regarding referral status and requirements. Ensure compliance with managed care guidelines and protocols. Assist in the management of office operations within a medical or dental office setting. Utilize medical terminology to accurately document patient information and referral details. Provide support in resolving any issues related to referrals or insurance claims. Qualifications Previous experience in a medical office or dental office environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of insurance verification processes and managed care principles. Familiarity with ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems is essential.
