Job Description

Pediatrician – Vice President, Enterprise Pop Health Executive 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars 900 S Pine Island Road, Plantation, FL 33324 Under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), the Senior Vice President of Population Health is responsible for designing and executing the Enterprise strategies to improve health outcomes across platforms, payor arrangements in both the pediatric and family practice settings. This role oversees initiatives and programs that continuously improve the quality of care and patient outcomes, reduces healthcare costs, optimizes performance against payor contracts, and improves the health of diverse populations. The SVP delivers through collaboration and leadership with internal stakeholders, external partners, and clinician providers to drive evidence-based, patient-centered approaches and promotes the use of data analytics to inform decision-making. Population Management Develops and implements population health strategies aligned with organizational goals and healthcare trends. Leads enterprise-wide initiatives focused on improving care coordination, health outcomes and patient experience. Develops and leverages internal and external stakeholder relationships to execute programs and deliver results. Guides the transition to and optimization of value-based care models that focus on preventative care and outcomes. Data Analytics and Performance Management Oversees the use of advanced data analytics and population health tools to monitor patient populations, identify risks, and drive targeted interventions. Ensures the accurate measurement and reporting of key performance indicators related to population health outcomes, cost efficiency and quality of care. Acts as the executive sponsor responsible for the implementation and maintenance and performance of the Enterprise Population Health distributed system (Innovaccer). Leads efforts with Finance and Payor Contracting to monitor and optimize performance against payor contracts. Enterprise Quality Responsible for Enterprise strategy related to Quality and a culture of Continuous Quality improvements. Assures that quality and related KPIs are part of the fabric of the organization and aligned to value-based care models. Develops and executes on strategy to implement and maintain quality accreditation and credentialing standards. Ensures care processes are monitored to meet/exceed established quality standards, guidelines and best practices. With the support of Risk Management and regional Dyad Leadership, oversees the implementation of robust patient safety programs that reduce errors, adverse events and improve care coordination. Oversees the Enterprise quality related committees including the Enterprise Quality Committee, Peer Review Committee, and Provider Continuing Education (PACE). Represents the Company internally and externally On clinician committees as appointed by the Board and the CMO, including the Enterprise Physician Advisory Board (PAB) Clinician Advisory Committee (CAC) and others, approving clinical standards and policy on behalf of the region and Enterprise. Administration Expertly manages departmental budgets and resources Builds a highly effective team of multi-disciplinary clinical and non-clinical staff The Senior Vice President works primarily remotely or in a professional office environment. Environment requires the ability to multi-task, communicate clearly and concisely, and to work at a computer and with office technology for extended periods of time. It may require sitting or standing for long periods, including stooping, bending, and stretching for files and supplies. The position requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, type at 35 wpm, and to operate a calculator, copier, and other office equipment as necessary. This position also requires travel 15-25% of the time. Note that the incumbent may work a small number of clinical support hours per month to maintain active professional licensure and practice levels. During these times they are subject to the duties, policies, working conditions and performance requirements of practicing clinicians at Pediatric Associates.

Education:

MD or DO degree required

Licensure/Certification:

This position requires an active medical license in the applicable State and good standing with the state’s Board of Medicine, as well as Pediatric Board Certification – American Board of Medical Specialties. Active BLS CPR certification required

Experience:

Minimum 10-years’ progressive experience in BOTH clinical leadership and populations health/care management position Knowledge and experience in a managed care delivery system, advancing clinical outcomes, and quality improvement processes Experience with value-based care programs, population risk management and/or complex chronic disease care management Knowledge of and experience with quality infrastructure, including how to develop and implement decision tools, clinical protocols and guidelines, leadership development programs, and outcome measurement assessments Experience with fiscal accountability and budgeting Working knowledge of statistical analysis, clinical epidemiology, and medical informatics Understanding of pediatric best practices and how to successfully introduce performance management initiatives into clinical practice
