Medical Office Coordinator ENT Jacksonville Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250 Job Summary The Medical Office Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of a healthcare facility. This position involves a variety of administrative and clinical tasks that support the healthcare team in delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical management, fiscal management, and an understanding of HIPAA regulations, as well as familiarity with various clinic systems, including those used in acute care settings, dental clinics, hospitals, or veterinary practices. Duties Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to optimize clinic efficiency. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with billing and coding for insurance claims, ensuring accurate financial management. Process patient intake forms and verify insurance information. Coordinate with healthcare providers to facilitate patient care and follow-up. Handle phone inquiries and provide information regarding services offered. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the office environment. Support clinical staff with basic medical procedures as needed. Skills Strong knowledge of medical management practices and clinic operations. Proficiency in fiscal management, including billing, coding, and financial record keeping. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other healthcare software. Understanding of acute care protocols and procedures. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
