Job Title:
Lead Technician – Supervisor – Ophthalmology Practice A well-established and rapidly growing ophthalmology practice is seeking an experienced and motivated Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This is a leadership role that will support the day-to-day operations of a high-volume, multi-specialty practice dedicated to exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
Oversee and coordinate daily clinical and/or administrative workflows across assigned teams Supervise, mentor, and develop team members to maintain high standards of service and compliance Partner with physicians, technicians, and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow and scheduling efficiency Monitor and improve operational metrics including patient satisfaction, staff productivity, and appointment adherence Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, HIPAA, OSHA, and company policies Assist with onboarding, performance evaluations, and corrective actions as needed
Qualifications:
Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) preferred. Minimum of three years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting; ophthalmology preferred. Proven leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and manage a team. Proficient in a wide range of ophthalmic diagnostic procedures and technologies. Strong organizational and communication skills. Commitment to excellent patient care and a team-oriented work environment.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum 3 year experience in similar role preferred COA or COT or willingness and ability to obtain within 6 months
Physical Requirements:
Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting and sitting, with some lifting, pushing and pulling up to 10 pounds.
