What does the Patient Coordinator do? (including but not limited to) As a Patient Coordinator you will be responsible for managing patient appointments, maintaining patient records, and providing excellent customer service to our patients. Your attention to detail and ability to multitask will be essential in this role. You will work closely with our medical staff to ensure that our patients receive the highest quality care. Responsibilities Essential duties and responsibilities (including but not limited to) Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries Verify insurance information and collect co-pays Maintain patient records and update information in the system Coordinate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow Prior authorization for medications Manage patient appointments and maintain accurate patient records Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families Communicate effectively with medical staff to ensure the best possible patient care Assist with administrative tasks such as billing and insurance claims Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 1+ years of experience in a medical setting such as a hospital, clinic, or psychiatry office. Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy Proficiency in using office systems and software Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
