Full Job Description Position Summary:

Responsible for the day-to-day operations and staffing of the Benefits & Authorizations Department and Communications Department to ensure a smooth patient flow and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the operations of Benefits & Authorizations, and Communications. Track weekly statistics and forward the totals to the director on a weekly basis. Review stats and assist in initiating changes as necessary. Complete employee evaluations. Complete quarterly goals. Develop or revise Patient Services policies and procedures as needed. Assist in handling patient complaints and ensures Quality Assurance Department is notified as necessary. Ensure all Patient Services employees are cross-trained. Assist in developing and maintaining departmental hats including tests and directions. Ensure all areas are properly stocked with supplies at all times. Assist in ensuring adequate coverage during illnesses, vacations, appointments, etc. Assist in handling all departmental and employee issues as needed. Coordinate with the Quality Assurance department and implement additional customer service training periodically and as needed. Ensure adequate coverage at all times and approving PTO. Ensure all departmental policies and procedures are being followed. Hold bi-weekly meetings with the department. Ensure the answering service receives monthly on-call schedules and changes. All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
