As a Hospice Inpatient Unit (IPU) manager , you will play a lead role in providing oversight of the operations for the Big Bend Hospice Dozier Inpatient Unit. The manager will ensure our patients receive the best possible care, manage staff and operations, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient comfort and quality of life. Big Bend Hospice is a mission-driven non-profit organization dedicated to providing compassionate end-of-life care. The Dozier House provides impatient care for patients in a calm and homelike setting for various circumstances; further offering, hospitality of 12 private rooms and around-the-clock family visitation privileges. - Dozier House, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do: Provide leadership, guidance and support to all members of the Inpatient Units’ Interdisciplinary Groups (IDG).
Direct supervision of RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and CSS assigned to units. Develop, implement, and evaluate scheduling and staffing plans, productivity and program effectiveness. Develop, implement and ensure best practice standards for all GIP level of care. Acts as liaison between team, physicians and patient/families to resolve dissatisfaction. Recruit, hire, orient, train and oversee hospice staff providing patient and family care. Maintain inventory of medical supplies, equipment and medication to meet patient needs. Responsible for budgets for Hospice House forecasting, trending, developing, variance analysis & monitoring A few must-haves for a Hospice Inpatient Unit (IPU) manager: 5-7 years Hospice Management Experience and/or Healthcare Administration Experience.
