Insurance Specialist/Patient Care Coordinator Fakhoury Medical and Chiropractic Center 1009 SW 16th Lane, Ocala, FL 34471 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator with insurance experience, specifically PIP, to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be the vital link between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care. You will manage patient interactions, coordinate appointments, and assist with insurance verification while maintaining accurate medical records. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess strong organizational skills. Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and providing information about services. Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, ensuring efficient use of provider time. Perform insurance verification to confirm coverage and eligibility for services. Answer questions regarding PIP Educate and communicate with patients on PIP Assist in our in-house insurance department Maintain accurate patient records. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care and communication. Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with patients and staff. Support office operations by coordinating patient flow and documentation. Experience Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred. Bilingual is preferred. Insurance experience, specifically in PIP is preferred. Scheduling and re-calling patients for appointments. Knowledge of insurance verification processes and managed care principles. Strong understanding of medical terminology is essential. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient interaction. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
