Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Referrals Coordinator for project possible long term. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patient referrals, ensuring seamless communication between healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and track patient referrals to specialist providers. Communicate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to obtain necessary patient information. Verify patient insurance coverage for referred services. Schedule patient appointments with specialist providers. Answer patient inquiries regarding the referral process. Maintain updated records of patient referrals and outcomes. Follow up with patients and healthcare providers to ensure timely delivery of care. Identify and resolve any issues or delays in the referral process. Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED (required). Minimum of 6 months of experience in a medical office setting (required). Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of healthcare procedures.
