Miami Beach Urgent Care is hiring a Clinical Lead —a hands-on team leader with deep clinical expertise in IV infusions, lab processing, blood draws, and pharmacy dispensing , who can guide and elevate the entire clinical team. About the
Role:
As the Clinical Lead , you are the anchor of our patient care operation. This role combines direct patient care with leadership and mentorship. You’ll oversee clinical workflows, train and support staff, and ensure best practices are followed in every encounter—from blood draws to prescription handoffs.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
Overseeing clinical operations and ensuring a smooth, efficient flow of patients and staff throughout the day Performing and supervising: Blood draws and venipuncture IV placement and IV infusion administration Injections (IM, SubQ, vaccines, medications) Point-of-care testing and CLIA-waived lab procedures Pharmacy dispensing of dispensed medications as ordered by providers Lab specimen handling and processing for LabCorp, Quest, and Quick Test Lab EKGs, vital signs, and triage evaluations Training and onboarding new medical assistants and cross-training team members across clinical functions Ensuring that staff follow HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control policies consistently Maintaining and organizing clinical supplies and medication inventory, escalating shortages or issues Leading by example in bedside manner, professionalism, and clinical documentation Supporting providers and acting as the main point of contact for clinical concerns or escalations

Minimum requirements:
High school diploma or GED 3+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant (urgent care or outpatient preferred) Demonstrated proficiency with: Blood draws and venipuncture IV infusions and IV medication administration Pharmacy dispensing protocols Specimen collection and lab processing Point-of-care testing and EKGs Prior leadership or training experience strongly preferred Familiarity with lab systems and multi-vendor workflows (LabCorp, Quest, Quick Test Lab) Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and lead by example in a fast-paced clinical setting Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not required
Job Location:
This role is on-site at our urgent care center near 13th Street and Alton Road in Miami Beach . Due to traffic and event congestion in the area, we strongly recommend living within reasonable distance. Reliable, on-time attendance is essential in this leadership position.
