Summary The Director of Central Resource Pool is responsible for the overall direction of the corporate management of the internal staffing program for JHS. Develops Strategic plans and sets goals to ensure the maximization of internal labor from the Staffing Pool. Communicates program information to System and Facilities Administrations. Monitors costs, utilization, and deployment of the Staffing Pool, reports data to all stakeholders. The incumbent assists and acts in a confidential capacity to manage, formulate, determine and effectuate management process and polices. Attends management meetings and is directly involved in the decision making process around confidential management decisions. Position requires exercise of independent judgment. Responsibilities Directs the overall operations of the system wide internal staffing program. Develops strategic plans and sets goals to ensure the maximizing of pool labor. Develops/maintains relationships with Administration, staffing personnel from System and all Facilities. Analyzes Facilities’ needs for additional and/or modification of services and incorporates analysis into the Marketing/recruitment plan. Provides consistent/accurate statistical data to demonstrate program efficiencies and effectiveness. Monitors Staffing Program utilization to ensure efficiency and effectiveness is maximized. Directs staff to ensure the integrity and proficiency of daily operations. Serves as a resource in the training and development of staff. Supervises the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, orientation, and termination of office staff. Oversees the orientation, evaluation, and termination of clinical staff. Promotes customer satisfaction on all issues. Promotes positive interpersonal and interdepartmental communications. Maintains the integrity of operations and regulatory guidelines. Oversees the daily operations to ensure integrity of records and data. Develops reengineering processes as necessary. Analyzes costs, allocation, and utilization. Analyzes market changes to maintain fair and competitive wage, salary, and bonus incentives. Implements changes based on analysis. Communicates changes to System and Facility Administration. Collaboratively works with Facilities to meet compliance requirements. Supervises operational reports to ensure the integrity of data and submits all required reports to System/Facility Role models behaviors of service excellence and CARE values (Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Expertise). Performs all other related job duties as assigned. Experience Generally requires 7 to 10 years of related experience. Management experience is required.
Preferred Experience Experience:
Clinical nursing experience & at least 4-5 years, with management or leadership experience in staffing, scheduling, or workforce management.
Skills:
Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills to manage staffing needs across multiple units or facilities.
Knowledge:
Familiarity with centralized staffing models, budget management, compliance regulations, and healthcare workforce planning. Data & predictive analytics.
Technology:
Proficiency in staffing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems, such as Infor system. Education Bachelor’s degree in related field is required. Master’s degree is strongly preferred. Skill Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work accurately while meeting multiple deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form. Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with critical thinking and professional composure. Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to exercise sound and independent judgment. Knowledge and skill in use of job appropriate technology and software applications. Credentials Valid Florida RN license is required.
