The National Director, Clinical Effectiveness will collaborate with the Market Clinical Directors to enhance clinical leadership by helping to define success metrics, key opportunities for clinical value and tailoring care modelponents within regional markets, as well as managing a panel of patients. The National Director, Clinical Effectiveness will have a portion of their time allocated to direct patient care as a PCP and/or other clinical duties. The majority of their time is allocated to working closely with market and regional leadership to optimize center and/or market performance and profitability. The allocation of time is dependent on several factors including PCP capacity, regional/divisional needs, size of centers, patient membership and direction of the SVP, Market Clinical Operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists in designing and executing initiatives to improve clinical oues, standardize care practices, and optimize operational efficiency. Collaborate with market leaders to implement evidence-based practices that drive superior patient oues.
Assesses metrics, oues and market conditions in an expeditious manner to rmend and implement necessary changes to obtain and improve them with an impactful result.
Serves as coach/mentor/trainer to market clinical leaders and staff providers, giving guidance in best practices, troubleshooting of medical services and operations issues in priority of urgency according to ChenMed standards.
Identifies, evaluates, and promotes innovative clinical practices and technologies that can improve care delivery and oues. Support the scaling of successful initiatives across markets to drive consistent improvement.
Collaborates with the training team to create and deliver education and development programs focused on clinical effectiveness and process optimization. Equips market leaders and clinical teams with the skills and knowledge needed to implement best practices.
Proactively identifies opportunities for ChenMed to reduce medical cost (Parts
A, B & D
).Persuades and influences stakeholders to adopt changes.
Partners with Market Clinical Leaders to uncover and solve challenges meeting core model metrics.
Identifies derailers and acts upon them to turn around non-profitable markets or centers by instilling a bias for action in the organization.
Manages transitions with key stakeholders in the organization by closing identified gaps in management capability.
Supports other functions within the clinical COE as needed (Provider Lifecycle and Provider Pipeline, Bootcamp Execution).Delivers outstanding clinical oues and service to patient panel as a PCP.Performs other duties as assigned and modified at manager’s discretion.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA
MD or DO in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or similar specialty required.
Board certification in a major primary care specialty field of practiceCurrent, valid license to practice medicine including DEA license required.
Minimum eight (8) years’ experience in progressively responsible administrative or management-related positions within a primary health care environment, preferably in medically needy and underservedmunities and in amunity health center settingPrevious experience supervising providers and other clinical staff is essentialThree (3) years’ previous experience as Medical Director or Associate Medical Director or equivalent with a Medicare or Medicaid patient population preferredPrevious experience providing services and exercising leadership in a culturally and linguistically diverse setting, with demonstrated success.
Previous experience working within a managed care environment strongly preferred, especially with experience in administrative/management capacity.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AMA) or American Red Cross required w/in first 90 days of employment.
