Patient Services Coordinator 3.2 3.2 out of 5 stars 15924 SW 92nd Avenue, Palmetto Bay, FL 33157 We are seeking to hire an experienced Patient Service Coordinator. Frequently interacts with patients, doctors, clinical staff, and insurance companies, needs experience with customer service and some marketing tasks and the ability to maintain patient records and confidentiality, manage multiple tasks, and ensure that all patient information is complete and up to date. Check patients’ insurance eligibility and co-payments, and complete data entry in electronic records.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Patient Services coordinators will be responsible to call clients and provide information about the services and gather the demographics and insurance information from the patient to verify accuracy. Handle the incoming referrals to assist in the preliminary determination of programs and services best suited to serve the needs of the patients. Must have knowledge of Insurance health plans, insurance verification, data entry, and prior authorization processes. Patient Services coordinators requires to be creative, flexible, innovative, and who will thrive in a fast-paced, team based work environment. Most have knowledge of medications, specialties and the work ethic necessary to assure the services is delivered on timely matter. Candidate duties include submission of prior authorizations as needed and notify all parties about the services approved by insurance. Patient Services coordinator will include marketing in reaching out patients and offer the services provide in the company. Maintain and Update Patient Records Patient Services coordinators ensure that patients electronic records are up to date and kept in accordance with laws and regulations. These records may include information from other care providers, accurate demographic information, proof of insurance and IDs. The Patient Services coordinators may ensure this information is complete and updated before the patient received services by our care providers. Provide Administrative Support Patient Services coordinators also provide general administrative and clerical support to medical offices. These tasks can include answering phone calls and emails, managing schedules, and maintaining electronic or paper files and records.
