Position Summary
A rapidly growing specialty healthcare group is seeking a strategic, operationally driven Vice President of Clinical Recruitment to lead the continued national expansion of its clinical workforce. As a high-growth, multi-state specialty healthcare platform, the organization is scaling rapidly through acquisitions, integration, and innovation. This role is critical to shaping a recruitment function that is both a growth engine and a cultural steward.
Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the VP will partner closely with the C-suite to architect and execute a provider recruitment strategy aligned with business goals, service line development, and long-term growth planning. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity that bridges recruitment strategy with operational scalability.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Recruitment Leadership
Own and evolve national recruitment strategies for physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs).
Develop a data-informed clinical hiring roadmap aligned to organizational priorities.
Differentiate the organization in candidate experience, onboarding, and value proposition.
Operational Integration & Workforce Planning
Partner with Operations and Finance to align recruitment with productivity models and market demand.
Build scalable systems and platforms to support multi-market growth.
Leverage workforce forecasting tools to proactively identify hiring needs.
Executive & Cross-Functional Partnership
Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team.
Support M&A diligence, workforce integration, and market entry planning.
Collaborate with clinical leadership on provider culture, alignment, and quality.
Team Leadership & Development
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing clinical recruitment team.
Set clear KPIs, training pathways, and a culture of performance and accountability.
Foster deep subject matter expertise in specialty provider hiring.
Data, Metrics & Analytics
Develop dashboards to measure pipeline health, time-to-fill, retention, cost-per-hire.
Use data to drive decisions and inform strategic priorities.
Align recruitment analytics with broader organizational goals.
Provider Engagement & Retention
Partner with HR and Clinical Ops to enhance onboarding, mentorship, and engagement.
Drive provider retention and satisfaction through thoughtful strategy and execution.
Champion a high-quality, mission-aligned provider experience.
Ideal Candidate Profile
10+ years in clinical or physician recruitment, ideally in PE-backed or multi-site healthcare settings.
Proven ability to scale teams and operations in fast-paced environments.
Experience with workforce strategy, provider compensation, and multi-state recruitment.
Deep business acumen and ability to collaborate with C-Suite leaders.
Strong analytical skills and comfort with predictive hiring models.
