Job Description:
We are seeking a licensed and certified Nurse Practitioner (NP), Certified NP, or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) to serve as the Director, Overnight Telehealth Program. This role will lead all clinical, operational, and regulatory aspects of the overnight telehealth program, providing direct patient care, managing provider schedules, coordinating with clinical and administrative teams, and developing outcome metrics. The ideal candidate is a clinically skilled, detail-oriented professional with a passion for telehealth and a strong leadership background in patient care delivery.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Direct Patient Care:
Provide high-quality, compassionate, and timely telehealth care for patients in Skilled Nursing Facilities, ensuring clinical excellence in each patient interaction.
Clinical Oversight:
Lead clinical operations by overseeing the quality of care provided by telehealth providers, conducting case reviews, and ensuring compliance with clinical protocols and standards.
Provider Scheduling:
Develop and manage overnight provider schedules to ensure continuous telehealth coverage, optimizing for both clinical efficiency and quality of care.
Training and Development:
Train clinical staff on EMR technology, telehealth protocols, and alternative communication methods to enhance patient care within the telehealth environment.
Program Metrics and Reporting:
Develop and monitor key performance metrics, generating reports on operational, financial, and quality outcomes to support continuous program improvement.
Liaison Duties:
Serve as the primary clinical liaison among providers, clinical supervisors, senior administration, and partner organizations, fostering effective communication and alignment with program goals.
Growth and Expansion:
Identify program expansion opportunities and collaborate with external partners to enhance the reach and impact of the telehealth program.
Additional Responsibilities:
Perform other relevant duties as needed to support the success of the telehealth program.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Clinical Competency:
Advanced clinical skills in patient assessment, diagnosis, and telehealth treatment protocols.
Leadership Abilities:
Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to oversee a clinical team, prioritize effectively, and manage a multi-faceted telehealth program.
Technical Proficiency:
Proficient in EMR systems, telehealth platforms, and standard computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
Communication and Collaboration:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging effectively with patients, clinical staff, and administrative teams.
Problem-Solving Skills:
Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to changing clinical and program needs.
Education and Experience:
Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) or DNP license. National certification as an NP (e.g., ANCC or AANP). Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN or DNP strongly preferred. Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, with prior experience in telehealth or remote patient care preferred. Demonstrated experience in project management or healthcare program oversight is a plus.
