Responsible for developing the system-wide cardiovascular sonography quality program, in collaboration with the Cardiovascular Medical Director, to provide consistent quality studies that meet national accreditation standards.

You Will Be Responsible For:

Responsible for development of a quality management system to ensure the quality of studies being completed by sonographers and cardiologists across system. This includes routine sonographer quality assurance reviews, creation of didactic and simulation education, and ongoing forums for case study reviews to create learning opportunities for complex clinical cases. Responsible for serving as clinical content expert for cardiovascular sonography across the AdventHealth Orlando system. Provides Cardiovascular Institute and operational leadership with best practice recommendations on cardiovascular sonography processes and utilization techniques. Leads the system wide Cardiovascular Non-Invasive Quality Committee, in partnership with Cardiovascular Institute Medical Director, to continually improve the cardiovascular non-invasive program through care transformation initiatives. Responsible for development, implementation and monitoring of quality improvement initiatives. Leads the program development of the infrastructure to deliver high value cardiovascular sonography care and ensure compliance with national accreditation standards. Provides leadership and oversight to the Pediatric Cardiovascular Sonography program, in collaboration with the Pediatric Cardiology Medical Director.

Qualifications What You Will Need:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration or other healthcare related discipline Three (3) years of cardiovascular sonography experience One-year progressive leadership

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
  • Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration or other healthcare related discipline
  • Clinical experience working in a quaternary care hospital system
  • Experience leading cardiovascular sonography teams with advanced structural heart programs
  • Experience with national adult and pediatric echosonography accreditation process
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED

Current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) granted by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Current certification as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) granted by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
