Procedures/ConditionsPosition Summary:

The Patient Access Manager is responsible for the appropriate delivery of patient access services for one or more locations throughout Orlando Health, with a combined total net operating revenue of $200 million and higher.

Essential Functions:

Develop goals and objectives for the department.

Plan, organize, and direct department activities.

Establish and implement policies and procedures for department operations.

Manage all on-site staff in Human Resource-related functions.

Review departmental performance and implement changes as necessary to improve services and simplify workflows to increase physician and patient satisfaction.

Keep administration informed of department activities, needs, and problems.

Handle unresolved customer complaints and concerns while working to increase overall customer satisfaction.

Prepare departmental budget and ensure the department operates within the allocated expense structure.

Maintain appropriate statistical information.

Establish and maintain intra/interdepartmental communication.

Network within the facility to build physician and administrative relationships.

Provide vision, direction, planning, and support to Administrators.

Education/Training:

Bachelor s Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience on a 1:1 basis. Offsetting experience must be in the field of Healthcare/Patient Financial Services.

Licensure/Certification:

None required.

Experience:

Four years of Patient Access (Patient Business) experience is required.

One year of supervisory, lead, or preceptor experience is required.
