Position Summary:

As the Supervisor of Surgery Supply, you will coordinate with Surgical Nurse Operations Managers to ensure the supply needs of Surgical Services are met efficiently and effectively. You will oversee the management and monitoring of disposable and reposable supplies, coordinate product returns, maintain inventory areas, and handle various human resources functions within the department.

Education/Training:

Associate s degree required.

Maintain current CPR certification.

Experience:

Minimum of three (3) years of materials management or inventory control experience required.

At least one (1) year of supervisory experience preferred.

Essential Functions:

Perform materials management functions for the surgery department.

Manage and monitor all disposable and reposable supplies used by the surgery department.

Coordinate product returns to vendors through materials management.

Maintain cleanliness and order of inventory areas, including shelving, carts, and bins.

Coordinate all physical inventory activities and reconcile inventory receipts and disbursements on a monthly basis.

Enter Implant Tracking data and manage the departmental loaned/borrowed program daily.

Obtain new supplies as requested by specialty staff and report discrepancies from primary distributors.

Manage various human resources functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and performance counseling.

Maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies and relevant federal, state, and local standards.

Ensure compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
