Thes is a full-time positions on-site in our West Palm Beach, Florida treatment center. The Clinical Director will be responsible for the daily clinical management of a unit. Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and oversight for two residential treatment programs. Clinical Directors take full responsibility for their programs and work with the CCO and other directors to design, implement, and maintain excellence in Hanley’s treatment programs. Clinical Directors work on an interdependent team and demonstrate a dedication to the highest levels of professionalism and mutual support. Manage clinical staff, including task assignment, training, individual supervision, and evaluation(s) of job performance. Oversee daily clinical issues, including but not limited to meeting with patients and families as deemed clinically appropriate, responsible for decisions regarding unusual discharges, and providing proactive direction to minimize crises. Complete monthly Quality Performance Indicator assessments. Promote the integration of a 12-step philosophy and a positive peer culture with patients, families, referrals, and Hanley employees. Coordinate and develop therapeutic presentations provided in the treatment unit. Provide psycho-educational presentations and co-facilitate groups as needed. Meet individually with patients when deemed clinically appropriate and provide clinical direction in crises as needed. Utilize the written plan and organizational benchmarks when further developing staff and program. Collaborate with Marketing, Accounting, Intake, Admissions, and Continuing Care departments to resolve problems and improve seamless continuum functioning. Ensure compliance of all state standards and accrediting bodies. Troubleshoot grievances and incident reports. Meet with families participating in FEP programs when necessary. Serve as the point person for all public speaking events. Serve as leader of the multidisciplinary treatment team. This includes being an active supervisor on your team and collaborating on interventions and extended referrals to ensure consistent internal and external customer service. Uphold all Hanley Foundation Health Care Policies and Procedures. Maintain patient/potential patient confidentiality following Hanley’s Policy. Must be available outside of standard work hours to assist with mental health crises and other urgent patient needs. Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Team.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
A thorough understanding of the 12-step Philosophy. A thorough understanding of mental health disorders. Managerial experience and competence. Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft products and network components. Excellent communication skills that foster teamwork and high morale. Highly organized and able to prioritize. Strong administrative skills. Knowledge and ability in strategic planning and implementation. Endorsement of the Hanley Foundation philosophy that a chemical dependency is a primary, permanent, progressive, and potentially fatal disease that is treatable and arrestable. Able to provide multiple roles of clinical supervision, including consultant, mentor, team member, and administrator. Use a leadership style that creates and maintains an environment based on mutual respect, trust, and teamwork. Able to manage crises calmly, proactively, and with a professional demeanor. Empower and delegate key duties to others. Able to manage the client population utilizing a positive peer approach.
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
Licensed by the State of Florida as a Qualified Credentialed Counselor (LMFT LMHC, LCSW/MCAP/Psychologist) in good standing or deemed capable of delivering counseling services by Clinical Leadership. Education commensurate with licensure, master’s degree or Doctorate required. At least 3 years of experience working in a substance use treatment facility/or mental health facility is required. In-depth knowledge of evidence-based treatment models for perinatal addiction and a strong understanding of the unique challenges faced by pregnant women with substance use disorders or experience working with trauma populations and understanding of the unique challenges faced by first responders, including stress, PTSD, and critical incident trauma. Knowledge, experience, and competence in the specific areas of adult treatment, adult co-morbid complications, and family systems theory. Work experience in a 12-step immersion program. Must be able to work on-call to address patient crises when they occur. If in recovery, one (1) year of continuous sobriety is required.
