This position is responsible for the daily administrative operation of Harmony House and the supervision of the Case Management staff and Residence Coordinators. The Domestic Abuse Shelter Manager will work closely with the Director of Domestic Abuse Shelter and Programs to ensure the quality of services to survivors residing at Harmony House; ensures compliance with the YWCA Personnel Policies & Procedures; ensures compliance with the FCADV Standards and the Florida Rule 65-H; ensures the achievement of all requirements in contracts as well as certification and the continued success in meeting all deliverables and outcome measures. Additionally, this position exists to uphold the YWCA of Palm Beach County as an expert in the area of domestic violence and to build partnerships, collaborations, and special initiatives to promote the ending of violence against women and children and advocate for such throughout Palm Beach County. Position Duties & Functions Facilitation and Growth of Assigned Domestic Violence (DV) Programming Direct oversight of Senior Case Managers, Case Managers, both part-time and on-call Residence Coordinators, volunteers, and interns. Supervise, direct, train and evaluate the Senior Case Managers, Case Managers, and Residence Coordinators with the support of the Director of DV Shelter and Programs. Ensures all Harmony House staff participate in mandatory trainings annually and achieve at least 16 hours of training every year between July 1 and June 30 Ensures all existing programming and activities for Harmony House remain consistent and in line with a survivor-directed, victim-centered, empowerment-based philosophy in the delivery of services per DCF guidelines and other contracts. Ensure all Harmony House Staff maintain proper documentation and record-keeping in assigned client-database systems. Ensure a safe, supportive environment and positive community interactions and environment in a residential setting. Ensures the continued development of new programming and activities that benefit survivors and their children residing in Harmony House. Maintains Harmony House activity calendar and oversee scheduling of educational groups and activities provided by external community-based organizations, Harmony House and Domestic Violence program staff. Maintains existing relationships with community partners and relationships for in-kind donations and services for Harmony House. Maintains existing partnerships, collaborations, and relationships with other agencies or providers that ensure the best delivery of services to survivors residing in Harmony House, i.e., CILO for disabilities, Lewis Center for housing, etc. Provides accurate and timely reports that are required by the agency and various funding sources as assigned by the Director of Domestic Abuse Shelter and Programs. Under the direction of the Director of Domestic Abuse Shelter and Programs, this position is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted on-site 24/7/365 coverage of the residential facility. Serve as on-call supervisor so that managerial staff is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Facilitation of Administrative Duties Facilitates supervision of all assigned staff. At the direction of Director of Domestic Abuse Shelter and Programs, conduct and coordinate hiring, onboarding, training, supervision, and evaluation of shelter staff. Facilitates the daily operations of the shelter facility including 24-hour staff coverage, food and supplies, and transportation. Coordinate and approve monthly staff schedules and weekly timesheets for Harmony House Support property management of the Shelter facilities in the areas of health, safety and emergency preparedness on a daily basis. Attend management team meetings and weekly meetings with the Director of Abuse Shelter and Programs. Facilitates weekly staff meetings and direct report one-on-ones, providing informational updates, trainings, feedback, and opportunities for communication. Ensures the achievement of goals, objectives, and measurements for Harmony House Ensures accurate and timely submission of all statistical data related to Harmony House (e.g. daily logs, demographics, Osnium entry, etc. as set forth by funders and standards) Ensures facility standards are met in accordance with funders, standards, the health department, and the fire department, and the facility is maintained as a safe, secure environment for the Harmony House residents. Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and provide emergency coverage of uncovered shifts when required. Ensures adequate staffing for program excellence and contract compliance by filling vacancies as needed, complying with agency policies regarding attendance, and remaining on the job beyond the end of a shift until replacement arrives, as needed. Ensure YWCA Harmony House emergency domestic violence shelter remains a state-certified shelter and is viewed as the expert on domestic violence in Palm Beach County, and remains a well-established and well-known program by: Collaborating and partnering with providers, agencies, businesses, and/or networking in the community as needed Communicating with the Director of Domestic Abuse Shelter and Programs consistently and as needed Promoting and advancing

advocacy initiatives, including inclusion and gender issues in the areas of domestic violence Obtaining at least 16 hours of training annually related to domestic violence or related trainings, budget and finance, or other related topics Maintaining accurate daily logs, monthly report requirements, and all documentation related to service provisions All other duties as assigned Skills & Abilities Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills Must be prompt, timely, and responsive to the needs of a fast-paced organization Must be able to handle confidential information discretely Must be able to learn quickly and have strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Must be able to directly supervise up to 15-20 team members. Must be willing to provide backup and support for staff working non-traditional hours (overnight and weekends) Must be able to provide leadership and modeling of positive attitudes to ensure an inclusive, diverse, and respectful environment amongst shelter staff, YWCA programs, and the Executive team, collectively. Must be able to provide one-on-one supportive services and/or case management to those in crisis or with trauma histories DCF Domestic Violence Program Core Competency and privilege status obtained within the first 90 days. Spanish Speaking, preferred Education Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Criminology, Mental Health, or related Human Services field Experience Minimum (3) years’ experience in a supervisory or managerial role Minimum (2) years’ experience in social services, preferably in domestic violence, child abuse, homelessness, mental health, or substance abuse services Minimum (2) years’ experience utilizing client database systems (i.e., Osnium or similar data systems) for data entry and reporting preferred Must have a valid driver’s license

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position requires movement about the Shelter facility on an hourly basis, sitting at a desk, and using a computer. Sitting on the floor and/or playing outside with children as needed. Ability to exert physical effort which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (up to 20 pounds), bending, stooping, stretching, squatting, and sitting. Minimal travel required in the Palm Beach County area.
