Medical Billing Manager SINY Dermatology Delray Beach, FL 33446 Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Billing Manager to lead and optimize all aspects of our revenue cycle operations. This individual will oversee billing, collections, claims management, denials, coding, and payer contracting—ensuring efficiency, compliance, and maximum reimbursement for our large, multi-state dermatology practice. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in healthcare billing, a strong leadership presence, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset. Experience with ModMed (Modernizing Medicine) is required. Key Responsibilities Revenue Cycle Oversight Direct the end-to-end revenue cycle process including billing, coding, claims submission, payment posting, and collections. Monitor accounts receivable (AR) metrics, implement corrective actions, and maintain healthy cash flow. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of billing procedures in alignment with payer contracts and regulatory guidelines. Claims & Denials Management Oversee claim submissions to ensure clean claims and minimize denials. Analyze and resolve rejected/denied claims; implement robust resubmission and appeal strategies. Identify denial trends and collaborate with teams to correct systemic issues. Billing & Coding Compliance Ensure proper coding (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS) and documentation practices. Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams to validate documentation and code accuracy. Maintain compliance with payer-specific guidelines and federal/state regulations (HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid). Contracting & Payer Relations Manage payer contracts and maintain productive relationships with insurance carriers. Act as a liaison to resolve reimbursement issues, renegotiate terms, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. Oversee credentialing of new providers. Reporting & Analytics Prepare and present revenue cycle performance reports including KPIs such as denial rates, AR days, collection rates, etc. Analyze financial trends and propose data-driven strategies to optimize revenue. Staff Management & Development Supervise and mentor billing and revenue cycle staff. Provide ongoing training and performance evaluations. Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing work environment. Process Improvement Identify inefficiencies and implement best practices to improve turnaround times and reduce errors. Evaluate and recommend technology solutions to streamline RCM workflows. Drive continuous improvement and innovation in revenue cycle processes. Collaboration Work closely with clinical, operational, and financial teams to ensure alignment and efficient workflows. Communicate effectively with patients regarding billing and insurance matters. Qualifications Education & Certifications Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field preferred. Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CRCP, CMRS, CPC). Experience Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in medical billing and revenue cycle management
REQUIRED
