In this role, you will be responsible for reaching out to patients and assisting them with scheduling their appointments. Your primary focus will be on providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that every patient feels valued and supported.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Schedule Optimization:
Efficiently schedule 45-50 patient appointments per week , ensuring maximum provider availability and reducing patient wait times. Facilitate the coordination of care and service offered by insurance providers to their patients. Build lasting relationships with patients, caregivers, physicians, and providers consistent with customer service guidelines. Contacts and schedules patients for their annual wellness visits (physicals) and routine follow up care. Acts as a non-medical triage to determine if patient needs to be scheduled for an appointment or transferred to practice for additional assistance. Responsible for consistent and accurate use and execution of department’s established operating procedures and supporting technology, software, and EMRs. Follow up on a weekly basis with assigned group of patients to ensure timely care is received through their primary care providers, while avoiding emergency department visits when possible. Identifies patients who have not been seen by their primary care provider for routine care and facilitates reconnecting these patients with their provider to resume care. Submit file/documentation to physicians and other clinicians as requested for review, quality assurance checks, and other purposes. Meet minimum required metrics and quality assurance measures set by Patient Access leadership to maintain productivity and efficiency. Delivers exemplary customer service for patients in accordance with company expectations and guidelines. Communicates and works effectively with Patient Access peers/leadership, physicians, and other health care professionals. Must abide to all HIPAA, Confidentiality and Privacy laws. Other duties may be assigned by your Supervisor and Manager(s).
Education:
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent A minimum or pursuit of AA/BS degree

Experience:
Previous experience in healthcare administration, patient access and scheduling highly desired Proficiency using electronic health record systems and scheduling software preferred Minimum 1 year customer service, or telemarketing required with proven track record of high-volume customer interactions. Working knowledge of health delivery systems/general practices. Experience with intranet or web-based communication systems. Proficiency in MS Office
