Description:
Responsible for supporting all departments by providing a centralized prioritization of placement of patients. Has the authority to enact decisions on an immediate basis. Gathers ongoing data for both prospective and retrospective review. Knowledge of the professional nursing theory and practice. Required to evaluate patient care. Knowledge of organizational policies, hospital policies, regulations and procedures to administer patient care. Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment. Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods and techniques of professional nursing care. Skill in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports and responding to correspondence. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public. Ability to maintain quality control standards. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures. Ability to communicate clearly. Estimated pay range for this position is $34.99 – $45.49 / hour depending on experience.

Additional Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Nursing – BSN. 5-10 years experience in a hospital setting. Strong clinical foundation and management experience. RN’s hired prior to 10/1/2017 are not required to have a BSN to continue in their non-leadership role as an RN. RNs hired on/after 10/1/2017 with an Associates Degree in Nursing (ASN) have five (5) years to complete the BSN.
