Summary:
Manage inventory including, but not limited to, negotiating pricing, purchasing, receiving, inventory control and maintenance of the electronic resource library and implant log. Assists in managing availability of surgical implants and supplies. Reviews ASC schedule to identify supply needs and order materials. Provide and maintain equipment, sterile supplies and instruments. Coordinate and assist with preparing case carts, ordering, receiving, storing and controlling distribution of equipment, instruments and supplies. Compile information needed for charge master on new items. Maintain inventory, enter purchase order, price discrepancies and reconcile charges. Promotes communication and collaboration among staff to enhance end products provided to areas serviced. Scrubs and sets up procedures as needed. Assists surgeon intraoperatively and troubleshoots problems with equipment and/or instrumentation, system sets, or devices. Has in depth knowledge of specialty and general surgical procedures, instrumentation, supplies, and medical equipment. Strong knowledge of surgical system sets and the ability to recognize issues. Responsible for a pro-active quality program and goals, and monitors for compliance related to materials used in the ASC.
