This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-facing environment and is eager to lead a small team while contributing directly to clinic efficiency and an exceptional patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary front desk point of contact at your assigned clinic, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment for patients and visitors. Oversee scheduling operations to ensure full and efficient patient flow; proactively manage cancellations and reschedules. Verify insurance benefits and obtain authorizations for patient visits. Ensure accurate completion of patient intake documentation and data entry into EMR systems. Collect and post patient payments; manage cash and credit card reconciliation. Supervise front desk staff at additional clinic locations and provide training and performance feedback. Work closely with billing personnel to monitor claims, resolve denials, and support timely reimbursement. Monitor supply levels and coordinate with Clinical Director and cleaning staff to ensure a well-stocked, clean, and organized office environment. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies and coding procedures; direct and assist with billing follow-up as needed. Contribute to office procedures by developing checklists, collecting performance statistics, and supporting operational improvements. Ensure all communications—whether by phone, email, or in person—reflect our standards of professionalism, accuracy, and warmth. •
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred. 3+ years of experience in a healthcare front office or medical billing setting required. Proven leadership skills or experience supervising administrative staff. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with keen attention to detail. Familiarity with medical billing systems (EZ Claim, Athelas a plus) and EMR platforms. Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and medical insurance terminology. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality, composure, and a high level of professionalism in a patient-focused environment. •
