JOB SUMMARY
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for clinical oversight of an intimate team of direct care service staff associated within the Motivating New Parents, Family Intervention Services and detox program, all located on the same site. Clinical supervisor provides structured processes for clinical staff to learn and develop clinical skills and develops a framework for evaluating the team’s clinical skills, abilities, and knowledge. Ideal candidate will ensure high-quality care and compliance with all regulatory requirements, while fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment. This role may maintain a small caseload as needed.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES
1.
Supervision of Counselors/Case Managers/Behavioral Health Consultants:
Provide clinical supervision, guidance, and support to counselors, case managers and behavioral health consultants.
Conduct regular supervisory meetings, case reviews, and performance evaluations.
Ensure staff adherence to ethical standards and best practices in behavioral health. 2. Direct Responsibility for Family Intervention Services and Motivating New Parents Programs Oversee the delivery of family services, including Family Intervention Services and Motivational New Parents program.
Develop and implement program policies and procedures.
Monitor program effectiveness and client satisfaction. 3. Clinical Oversight of Detox Oversee the clinical delivery of detox services which presently consists of two counselors and one case manager. Develop and implement program policies and procedures that may impact clinical functioning.
Work in partnership with the interdisciplinary nursing team as it pertains to quality care for clients accessing services.
Monitor program effectiveness and client satisfaction. 8.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with other departments, agencies, and community partners.
Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities.
Communicate effectively with clients, families, staff, and external partners.
Assist in recruitment of new referrals through established partnerships or be initiating new. 9.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Participate in quality assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
Conduct chart reviews for all three programs to ensure deliverables are being met for each program.
Address client complaints and grievances in a timely manner. 7.
Caseload Management:
Maintain a small caseload as needed.
Provide direct clinical services to clients, including assessment, treatment planning, and therapy.
Ensure timely and accurate documentation of client interactions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related human services field from an accredited institution required.
Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor or Licensed Family and Marriage Therapist (LMFT) AND/OR Master’s Certified Addiction Professional (MCAP) credentialed.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in behavioral health, including supervisory experience.
Strong clinical skills and the ability to manage a caseload.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Experience working with families and detox services preferred. Preferred Knowledge/Skills TANF funding regulations and requirements.
Knowledge of the child welfare system.
Training and experience in the Invitation to Change approach.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Typical office environment with occasional travel to different service sites for trainings or events.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings as needed.
