Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Coding Documentation Improvement (CDI) Liaison, work from home, you will be responsible for the interface between facility-based Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialists and the coding teams. You will work with all facilities to improve the accuracy, integrity, and quality of patient data, ensure minimal variation in coding practices, and improve the quality of physician documentation within the body of the medical record to support code assignments. You will also plan, assign, and coordinate the communication and validation of correct coding; actively monitor facility CDI requests, and respond to questions submitted. What you will do in this role: Proactively manages facility CDI and

HSC MS-DRG

discrepancy request reviews (including corresponding communications, escalation paths, and tracking/trending/comparison of data) Reporting significant coding trends identified through the CDI process Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes impacting coding requirements Coordinate training and education for coders and facility-based CDI staff when trends are identified Manage expectations and ensures services are delivered accordingly from the data entry system What qualifications you will need: Minimum 3 years of healthcare management/leadership experience required Minimum 5 years of recent inpatient hospital coding experience is required RHIA, RHIT, and/or CCS certification
