POSITION OVERVIEW
The Psychometry Manager is responsible for supervising the day-to-day activities of the Psychometric Ratings Team and provides leadership and support to team members. The Psychometry Manager provides administrative and clinical support for the Psychometric Ratings team to ensure exceptional rating performance for all clinical research studies.
RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Lead the Ratings Team to achieve goals to support the growth and success of the site and ensure exceptional rating performance for all studies. 2. Think broadly and maintain a working knowledge of all actively enrolling and upcoming indications and trials. 3. Provide excellent patient care and customer service; manage escalated situations with professionalism, empathy, and patience and work to develop appropriate resolutions. 4. Facilitate scheduling for clinical ratings tests and resolve related issues in a timely manner. 5. Work diligently to ensure the integrity, consistency, and accuracy of departmental data by systematically reviewing Psychometric assessments across studies and subjects Communicate goals, metrics, and patient enrollment status with the Ratings Team; motivate team to achieve site and organizational objectives. 6. Manage study start-up items to ensure accurate execution of study assignments, documentation, and delegation. 7. Identify opportunities for improved communication and work on finding solutions and enhancements within the Ratings Team. 8. Mentor and train team members and provide leadership and support to all clinic team members; ensure team members complete required training and certification to perform clinical ratings; develop training materials, as needed. 9. Regularly shadow Ratings Team members to maintain quality and consistency standards; provide training, routine coaching and feedback to team members to elevate individual and team performance. 10. Ensure patient safety by responding appropriately to any potential for harm to self or others that is identified through the evaluations performed. 11. Communicate clinical content in a clear manner and effectively communicate issues related to ratings with the clinical team, sponsor, CRO, monitors, auditors, and /or central ratings groups. 12. Appropriately identify, prioritize, and communicate issues that need to be addressed by management, acting as needed. 13. Coordinate team meetings and present information and updates as needed. 14. Ensure the company’s core values are known and continually practiced by the Ratings Team. 15. Ensure the Ratings Team adheres to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). 16. Develop and maintain positive and effective working relationships with all Charter Research team members. 17. Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; coaching and mentoring employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the assigned department(s).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES 1.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (written and verbal). 5. Comfortable speaking and presenting professionally to internal and external groups, including site representation at meetings, seminars, or conferences. 6. Display agility in handling multiple tasks simultaneously and adapting to changes in responsibilities and workloads. 7. Skilled in mental health assessment and wellness.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education 1. Master’s degree, preferably in psychology, mental health counseling, or related field. 2. Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or equivalent preferred. 3. Certified Specialist in Psychometry (CSP) designation preferred. Experience 1. Typically, at least 2 years of psychometry experience in clinical trials. 2. Rater Qualification Certificates (from Bracket, Medavante, or similar) required. 3. Knowledge, familiarity, and experience performing a variety of rating scales is preferred. Examples include the ADAS-Cog, ADCS-ADL, CDR, CGI, C-SSRS, FAQ, FCSRT, GDS, MDS-UPDRS, MoCA, MMSE, RAVLT, RBANS, SLUMS, WAIS-IV, and
WOMAC. 4.
Prior management experience is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 1.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 2. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
