RMS Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Manager of Clinical Informatics to lead our Clinical Applications Support Team. This position is responsible for the administration, optimization, and support of clinical systems across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of clinical workflows, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external vendors to ensure operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations, maintenance, and project work related to clinical applications and systems (e.g., PACS, RIS, dictation systems) Lead, mentor, and manage the Clinical Applications Support Team, including onboarding, performance evaluations, and professional development Coordinate and manage system upgrades, new implementations, and troubleshooting activities Ensure compliance with vendor standards, internal policies, and IT security requirements Collaborate with the Teleradiology and IT support teams for system integration and support needs Identify opportunities to enhance workflows and improve end-user experience Monitor and ensure accurate and timely DICOM and HL7 transmissions Support training initiatives in collaboration with the Clinical Training and Development Manager Maintain strong vendor relationships, managing escalations and ensuring timely resolution
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or IT/clinical certifications preferred Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a radiology or healthcare environment managing PACS, RIS, or similar clinical systems Prior leadership or management experience strongly preferred
Skills and Competencies:
Deep understanding of clinical informatics systems, workflows, and imaging standards (HL7, DICOM) Familiarity with ticketing systems and project management tools Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment High attention to detail with strong focus on data security and compliance
