Job Description:

Mid Florida Cancer Centers is a comprehensive Hematology & Oncology practice with four locations in Orange City, Deland, Oviedo, and Sanford. Our physicians offer a wide range of services with the goal to provide our patients with the highest quality of care and patient experience. Mid Florida Cancer Centers is seeking an out-going bilingual (English/Spanish) New Patient Coordinator with intentions to grow with the practice. Though experience scheduling new patient’s is preferred it is not required as we are willing to teach you the skills needed to succeed. The individual in this role with be the liaison between Mid Florida Cancer Centers and potential patients.

Job Responsibilities:

Obtains demographic and insurance information on all new patients. Obtains copy of patient’s insurance cards and current driver’s license for file. Registers all new patients into the system. Prepares and organizes new patient charts. Confirms patient insurance verification and eligibility on all new patients. Schedules new patients in computer system in accordance with physician and/or office guidelines. Cancels/reschedules appointments according to physician schedule changes; notifies appropriate clinic personnel. Handles new patient referrals, gathers necessary information, assigns the patient account number, and schedules the appointment. Assisting with inbound phone calls All other duties as assigned.

Full Time Position:

Monday through Friday (8:00am – 4:30pm)

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of one (1) year office experience preferred, preferably in a medical office setting. Compensation and Benefits Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.’
