We are currently searching for Full Time Surgical Services Nurse Manager to work Mondays – Fridays who can work cooperatively with staff and physicians and perform a variety of tasks. The Nurse Manager’s responsibilites include, but are not limited to: Coordinating peri-operative care of the patient– coordination to include, but not limited to: clinical staff, medical company representatives, patient schedule and equipment. Overseeing the Performance Improvement Committee. Ensuring Environment of Care standards are maintained. Coordination of drills and codes. Evaluations and competencies of clinical staff. Interviewing and hiring clinical staff. Organizing education and training of new products. Coordination of pathology program and GiQuic. Coordination of sharps injury program. Daily assignments of clinical staff. Managing staff PTO. Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in acute care nursing, knowledge, and skills, be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, have a current Florida state license to practice as a registered nurse , maintain BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications, have at least one year of nurse manager experience and possess strong ethical and moral character references and basic computer skills. The ideal candidate must have at least one (1) year ambulatory experience with GI, orthopedics, plastics, general surgery and/or cataracts. ! Come Join our Team!
