DEFINITION:

Under a combination of administrative and executive direction, directs the overall operation of the Tanner Medical Center/Villa Rica consistent with policies and objectives of the organization and its governing board. Qualifications 1. Graduate degree in business or healthcare administration or other related discipline. 2. Five years experience in a healthcare facility in a leadership role that included the use of such skills as business acumen, strategic planning, and decision making in view of financial priorities, and internal and external conditions. 3. Demonstrated highly developed leadership and interpersonal skills. 4. Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and analyze. 5. Proven effective communication skills. 6. Demonstrated ability to accept responsibility. 7. Proven decision making ability.

Area of Responsibilities 1. Communication of the Mission and Vision of the organization 1. Provide leadership. 10. Represents the organization to various groups or committees, both external and internal of the organization. 11. Interprets public policy, economic developments, and public opinion in meeting organizational goals. Participates in hospital associations and health care professional organizations. 12. Probable errors in information developed independently that may involve a continuing adverse effect on the overall operation and major functions of the organization, and a substantial loss of organization funds, organization effectiveness, and public image. Devotes most of time to intensive contact with key people with intermittent contacts with many people at all levels. Requires maximum knowledge of organization policies and objectives, persuading, negotiating, and planning strategy and timing to the best effect, to gain acceptance of the point of view of the organization. 14. Management of the operation of Tanner Medical Center Villa Rica including Action plans and reports, budgeting developing and implementing Capital Plans, and supporting physician recruiting. 4. Assuring facilities, equipment, and trained personnel are available to support the scope of service of the hospital. 6. Maintains primary responsibility for physician relations for the hospital. 8. Acts as liaison between the governing board, the medical staff, and departments within the organization. Establishes and attends meetings to provide pertinent information related to the organization operations and fiscal affairs.
